  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise work
  • Handle food according to safe food practices
  • Maintain safe and sanitary equipment and work area in accordance with health department standards;
  • Receive supplies, stock rotation, quality control and stocktake
  • Perform duties without supervision – Alex has run a café independently
  • Prepare food, portion and plate food to a high standard,
  • Cook food to specialised dietary requirements
  • Communicate and work well with others of varying nationalities including work out ways to work with people that can’t understand English
  • Good knife skills
  • Has completed a little pan work
