You can access up to $10,000 in financial incentives when you hire an eligible new employee who is either:
Job seekers must be registered with jobactive, ParentsNext, Transition to Work or Disability Employment Services.
Wage subsidy example:
For example, based on one employee for one week who earns $18 an hour and completes 8 hours a week, who’s total weekly wage would be $144 – a host employer could SAVE $100 per employee, as this is covered in the wage subsidy. The only cost incurred by the employer is $44.
Is my business eligible?
You may be eligible for a wage subsidy if your business:
Build your workforce and access up to $21,000 in financial bonuses with a Community Solutions apprentice or trainee.
Eligible businesses including Group Training Organisations can benefit from up to a 50% wage subsidy for an Australian apprentice or trainee. The wage subsidy is available for a maximum of $7,000 per quarter per eligible Australian Apprentice, that is employed between 5 October 2020 and 30 September 2021 and is undertaking a Certificate II or higher.
