You will be working alongside and supervised by qualified chefs from different parts of the world. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to add value to their apprenticeship whilst continuing your training in commercial cookery. This is an extremely busy commercial kitchen that provides the ultimate culinary experience to all its members and guests.You will have the opportunity to build on the skills and knowledge you have gained in your first year. The position is full time, 5 days per week Wednesday – Sunday split shifts. Sunday is a 6-hour straight shift.In this apprenticeship will continue to be provided with in depth training in all aspects of commercial cookery including:Food preparation and plating during busy serviceBusy A La Carte restaurant providing indoor and outdoor seatingSafe food handling practicesCleaning to legislative standardsOperation of kitchen equipmentStock rotationAbout You:Must have your current food handlers certificate or the ability to obtainExcellent work ethicReliabilityExcellent communication skillsDesire for the cooking tradeMust have your own transportCandidates with Certificate II in Commercial Cookery may be consideredSuccessful candidates will need to provide two references and participate in a pre-employment medical with drug and alcohol testing.Community Solutions is a non-for-profit organisation operating as a commercial business, providing apprentices and trainees to a variety of different businesses throughout the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.
