  • difficulty pronouncing words or sounds, including stuttering
  • do not talk, or are a late talker
  • problems understanding or following instructions.

Benefits of Speech Pathology

Participants will build their confidence and independence with the support of our experienced clinicians by improving their ability to:

  • understand and follow instructions
  • communicate wants and needs with speech, signs, pictures or assistive technology
  • eat safely and enjoy different foods.

Comprehensive Speech Pathology Support

When providing speech therapy, our team collaborate with the person and their support network throughout assessment and therapy.

The person’s current skills are assessed and a comprehensive report is created with therapy recommendations. Using assessment information, we can then develop goals and build independent skills.

Additionally, we may also develop resources and find appropriate assistive technology to support communication.

Flexible Speech Pathology support

Offering participants support in their preferred environment, speech pathology is provided face-to-face at either our clinic, at the participants home or in a community setting.

Presently, this service is available in the Cairns region.

All our team members follow COVID-safe practices and conduct all sessions in accordance with the latest Queensland Health guidelines.

Funding for Speech Pathology services

As a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) service provider, our speech pathologists accept referrals from NDIS participants under the Improved Daily Living funding line.
