Work for a non-for-profit organisation supporting the CommunityPart Time 3 days per week Wednesday to FridayGain your Certificate III in Timber Wood Production Operations & hands on experienceOur supportive Community Solutions team will assist you every step your traineeship journeyThe TraineeshipWe currently have a newly created part time (3 days per wk) Timber Wood Production Operations traineeship opportunity based at our Rockhampton Endeavour Foundation Business Solutions site.In this traineeship you will learn with one of the largest disability service providers in Australia, Endeavour Foundation whilst completing a Certificate III in Timber Wood Production Operations.As a Timber Wood Production Operations Trainee, you’ll learn and develop all your on-the-job skills with an experienced team whilst also applying the theory along the way. Some of the duties you will be involved in include:Sorting and processing timberSupporting the team to keep operations running smoothlyAssist with all aspects of mill operations to meet customer ordersSupport quality control across production areaSort and merchandise timber for further processingProcess, pack, and prepare materials to fulfil ordersHelp minimise material wastage and maintain a clean, safe workspaceWhat will you bring to the role?Our team will teach you during the traineeship, but there are some minimum requirements and key traits we’re looking for:A keen interest to build a career in the Timber industryAn eye for detail with the ability to follow directions wellStrong communication skills with a collaborative mindsetPrevious personal experience using hand tools, drills etc would be highly regradedAbility to work Wednesday to FridayPass a Police CheckAble to obtain a Blue Card & NDIS Workers Screening check (we pay for this)!Provide two professional referencesSuccessful candidates will participate in a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol testBring a keen attitude and a willingness to learn!So what's next...If this is the opportunity for you, the click ‘Apply Now’ below.  You must also be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident.We can't wait to hear from you; recent school leavers are encouraged to apply! 16 AUD Rockhampton 4700
