Community Solutions are seeking motivated individuals to commence a Certificate III in Engineering (Sheetmetal) apprenticeship, hosted by a locally owned Sunshine Coast engineering and fabrication business based in Kunda Park.

This full-time apprenticeship is ideal for someone with a genuine interest in engineering and fabrication, who is committed to completing a 4-year apprenticeship while gaining hands-on experience in a modern workshop environment.

You will work with a host employer that services a range of industries including Construction, Manufacturing, Mining and Automotive, with exposure to advanced fabrication processes such as laser cutting, design consultation, press fabrication, manufacturing solutions, and 3D scanning and printing.

As a Sheetmetal Engineering Apprentice, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Developing and fabricating structural and sheetmetal components
• Safely using measuring equipment, hand tools, welding and cutting equipment
• Operating metal forming and shaping machinery and grinders
• Interpreting and working from detailed drawings and job specifications
• Adhering to all Work Health and Safety policies and procedures

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Be committed to completing a 4-year apprenticeship
• Have a strong interest in the engineering and fabrication industry
• Be reliable, punctual, and have excellent attention to detail
• Be able to use initiative and problem-solve in a workshop environment
• Be able to travel to and from work (limited public transport to this location)
• Be available to work Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
