The role is a full-time contract till June 2022 at this stage and can be based anywhere within Gippsland but must be prepared to travel throughout the region.The National Disability Coordination Officer has three key objectives to be achieved for the NDCO Program:Improved linkages between schools, Tertiary Education providers, employment service providers and providers of disability programs and assistance at all government levelsImproved transitions for people with disability between school / community and Tertiary Education, and then to subsequent employmentImproved participation by people with disability in Tertiary Education, and subsequent employmentWorking within a National Strategic Plan, you will work collaboratively across the NDCO network on 4 key priorities.Priority 1: Identify Gaps and BarriersPriority 2: Policy, Research and Good PracticePriority 3: Escalate and AdvocatePriority 4: Enable High PerformanceKey Responsibilities include:Establish and maintain sustainable networks and strengthen links with and between all key stakeholdersSupport existing networks to incorporate a disability focus, address key issues and effect changeImprove knowledge among stakeholders about opportunities for collaboration and coordination between programs and stakeholdersLink and collaborate with NDCOs at the regional, state and national level, particularly with NDCOs in the adjacent regions About youOur ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong project management experience who will work strategically to generate education and employment outcomes for people living with disability. This role will require well developed interpersonal skills to build relationships with government, community and education stakeholders.
