We support people to gain knowledge and skills to make a difference in their lives through education and finding and keeping a job.In 2015 SkillsPlus and BRACE became part of the Community Solutions Group to expand our services to include employment services as well as training, education, disability and youth programs across regional and metropolitan Victoria and South Australia. About the roleDue to growing business requirements, we are now looking to hire a Sessional Trainer/Assessor for an immediate start to deliver the courses: 22302VIC Certificate I in Work Education and 22481VIC Certificate II in Work Education across our Northern suburb sites.This is a great opportunity for a dynamic Workplace Foundation Skills trainer who will inspire and develop the employment skills of a supported workforce through our partnership  with the Endeavour Foundation. This role will also build partnerships with local employers for placement opportunities and work with employment coaches, whilst developing literacy, numeracy and IT skills.The Endeavour Foundation works across the food and pharmaceutical industries in the packaging field.  The trainer will be working in collaboration the Endeavour team to build the skills and opportunities for  our supported students to further develop their abilities. About youFirst and foremost you will have a keen interest and passion in the teaching and learning of others. Our successful candidate will ideally have previous experience and qualifications in a training capacity which are further listed below:Assessors must satisfy the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015/AQTF mandatory competency requirements for assessorsQualifications TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment  TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A and TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B Or a diploma or higher level qualification in adult learningHold a Special Needs qualification such as:Graduate Diploma in Special EducationBachelor of Education with a Special Education specialisation areaMaster’s degree which includes a Special Education specialisation such as: Master of Special Education or Master of Education (Special Education needs)Or have documented teaching experience in this and evidence of ongoing PD such as evidencing relevant knowledge of theories, methods and practices in teaching learners with a range of intellectual disabilitiesA current working with Children Check or VIT Registered is essential as is Police Check or the willingness to gain one.
