This program is focused on developing skills for individuals and providing direct assistance to those Queenslanders that need the most support to enter and stay in the workforce. The RoleWe are now looking to hire a Project Support Officer on a part time basis (min 2+ days per week) for an initial contract till July 2020. This role will work with the Team Leader and the SQW Project Coordinators to assist participants with training and activities that will support their transition to employment and/or further education and training. This may include support to coordinate accredited and non-accredited training, participant recruitment, post-placement support and recording participant outcomes.The Project Support Officer will have an understanding of the issues faced by participants when planning to enter, or return to the workforce. Additionally, this role will have sound administrative skills to support the SQW team and the wider Community Wellbeing Leadership team with project administration as required. About YouThe successful applicant will come with sound administration skills and preferably have industry related experience from sectors such as Community Services, Employment Services or Training.You will also be able to confidently develop and maintain relationships with the team, as well as various Stakeholder groups when required including RTOs, local employers and community groups.You will also come with:A knowledge of the issues experienced by jobseekers including barriers to education, training and employment.Intermediate competency in computer applications, (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure clear and concise information is relayed as aligned to the audience.A current and valid driver’s licence is essential, as is a current Blue Card or the willingness to gain one. Project Support Officer (Skilling QLD for Work)
