The ParentsNext pre-employment program provides early intervention assistance to parents with young children. It assists parents to set education and employment goals, develop a pathway to achieve their goals and link them to services and activities in the local community. The RoleWe are now looking to hire an Employment Pathway Coach on a part time basis (minimum 38hrs per fortnight with possibility further hours) to support our high service quality, outcome focused pre-employment program. This role will be based in Mackay/Sarina with outreach to Sarina, Moranbah and Nebo and is responsible for assisting parents to identify achievable goals and activities that will support their transition to employment and/or further their education and training. This may include referrals to specialist services, facilitating group activities and linking parents with community based support.  The role also involves community engagement and project opportunities within our community.Other key duties will include:Maintaining regular contact with participants and employers, providing advice and comprehensive pre-employment support, updating goals achieving program outcome milestones.Effectively supporting participants to identify their barriers to study or employment and personal and vocational goals.Administrative tasks working in a filtered compliance program that is linked to outcomes for the program, maintaining compliance with guidelines.Liaising with community stakeholders such as Department of Human Services, employment services, education and vocational training providers, community services and employers for the benefit of connecting participants and attracting potential new participants to the program.Meeting key performance indicators by self-managing caseload and monitoring ongoing, working as a team in achieving milestones and converting leads into sustainable placements.About YouYou will have a solid understanding of the issues experienced by parents, including barriers to education, training and employment.   • Strong administrative and compliance understanding and capabilities
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Ability to prioritise and effectively time manage multiple tasks daily
  • Focus to deliver high performance

A current and valid driver’s licence is essential, as is a current Blue Card and Yellow Card, or the willingness to gain one.
