This role will be responsible for engaging local business leaders to develop and facilitate an employer committee locally, including planning, organising and hosting local network events. The position actively supports and mentors local employers to ensure they understand the commercial and social benefits of employing people with disability. This role will also provide services to employers to help them meet their labour needs by changing the nature of the work environment for people with disability.The key to success in this role is to identify and engage key employers and business leaders to create a sustainable local business network of informed and active advocates with the skills and confidence to employ people with disability. About You:You will ideally come with a previous background working within Employment Service programs, Training or Community Services. The successful candidate will also have experience in working with people with disability and have the local knowledge of the local labour market including the resourcing needs and constraints of employers in order to devise effective solutions.Furthermore you will have;Project Management experienceExcellent interpersonal and consultation skills to enable the fostering of strong networks with employers and community groupsA positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adaptAbility to maintain compliance with contractual requirementsBe able to work in a target driven environment and a track record of delivering high performanceAbility to work collaboratively in a team that operates remotelyRelevant qualifications in Community Services, Business and Project Management are also desirable.
