Permanent part-time position, minimum 15 hours per week, based in NambourCreate a positive future for young people and your wider communityEncouraged and supported ongoing professional development and diverse career opportunitiesOur Youth Support Worker will provide Case Management and support services within the Circles of Support – Youth (COSY) Program based in Nambour and including outreach services in Gympie and surrounding areas. COSY works to assist vulnerable young people aged 8-21 years by engaging, assisting and encouraging them to access relevant support services and providing opportunities for them to facilitate positive life choices and minimise their personal risk.This permanent part time position (Tuesday and Thursday 8.30-4.30) will take a strengths-based approach to case management that will assist participants to identify achievable goals and activities that will support them with their pathways. This may include supporting participants to address barriers, linking them with specialist support services and facilitating group activities. As part of the group work component, outside of business hours work will be required at times.The role comes with an understanding of the issues faced by young people ‘at risk’ and will identify and link participants with appropriate opportunities and supports.
