Working closely with the General Manager – NDIS and Community this position will be responsible for establishing, growing and implementing Support Coordination in our North QLD region. This role will have responsibility for all components of Support Coordination including mentoring their team and ensuring services are delivered to NDIS participants independent of direct provision of supports, and allowing each participant full choice and control.This position will also assist participants in reducing complexity in the support environment and focusing on each person achieving their stated goals. Team Leader - NDIS Support Coordination

About You

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the NDIS and what it means for customers and organisations
  • Experience in working with people with disability and their families/carers
  • Previous leadership experience that involves direct staff support and development
  • Demonstrated time management skills to effectively manage workload and meet deadlines
  • High level of interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and maintain relationships within a team, with customers, across service providers, and with various stakeholders
  • Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Demonstrated competence in general computer applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in: Social Work or Community Services will be viewed favourably but are not essential
