Services include maintenance and repair, general servicing, Full major servicing, Engine Tuning and safety inspections & certification. This Apprenticeship will provide the successful candidate with underpinning skills and knowledge to service and repair the mechanical parts of a motor vehicle such as the engine, transmission and suspension systems.Kick start your career with this full time - 4-year apprenticeship and gain a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology. Some of the tasks will involve:    Service air conditioning and HVAC systemsCarry out soft soldering techniquesRepair electrical systemsCarry out oxy acetylene welding, thermal cutting, and thermal heating proceduresService and maintain battery electric vehiclesTest, charge and replace batteriesCommunicate effectively in an automotive workplaceInspect, service and repair auxiliary braking systemsWhat we are looking for:    Manual Drivers license (desirable or prepared to obtain)A mechanically minded person with a passion for working with cars Cert II In Automotive or Engineering is highly regardedUnderstand the importance of workplace health and safetyGood communication skillsEnjoy practical workHave good hand-eye coordinationPass a Pre-employment Medical with Drug and Alcohol testWhat can we offer you?Salary Packaging Benefits!
