NDIS Specialist Behaviour Support
Some people with intellectual disability exhibit behaviour that can concern their family, friends or other supporters. This behaviour may cause physical or emotional harm, or limit their ability to engage fully with the community.
Community Solutions’ Specialist Behaviour Support team provides specialised assistance and training to persons with a disability, their families and staff, where the needs of an individual are complex. We employ both positive behaviour support and simple psycho-educational approaches to address challenging behaviour, while maintaining an explicit focus on quality of life and human rights protections.
Our team will consult with you and assess your situation and together we will develop an individualised plan that meets your needs.
We can provide education in human relations and sexuality either in small groups or for individuals. In these workshops, we can conduct a detailed assessment of sexual knowledge and deliver anger management training.
All members of our Specialist Behaviour Support team have extensive experience and training in contemporary behaviour support practices, ageing and mental health conditions.
