Australian Secondary Schools Alcohol and Drug (ASSAD) Survey

in 2014, Community Solutions collected data in 65 Queensland schools on behalf of the Cancer Council Queensland as a part of the Australian Secondary Schools Alcohol and Drug Survey. The ASSAD surveys are conducted nationally every three years and are a significant indicator of drug use behaviours in young people. The ASSAD surveys inform prevention and early intervention stratgies with young people implemented throughout the country. Circles of Support – Youth (COSY)

Supporting young people who are engaging in behaviours that place them at risk of homelessness or of entering the Youth Justice/ Child Protection system, the COSY program operates in the Gympie, Nambour and surrounding Sunshine Coast hinterland regions. Bowen Youth Access and Support Service

Bowen Youth Access and Support Service is an outcome focused service that will engage and support young people aged 12-18 years who are currently disconnected or at risk of disconnecting from  family/community, school, training and employment, or who are at risk of homelessness or harm.

Bowen Youth Access and Support Service provides information, referral and case management services, and group programs as determined by need. The service operates in the Bowen area with fortnightly outreach to Collinsville. For more information, phone 4967 6888.
