Community Solutions has partnered with United Synergies, Integrated Family and Youth Services and Sustainable Partnerships Australia to launch the Businesses and Employers Supporting Transitions (BEST) initiative.

With the aim of supporting disadvantaged Sunshine Coast job seekers into employment, BEST will see work-ready participants from the organisations’ employment programs matched with relevant work experience opportunities to improve employment prospects.
Over 35 participants have already been linked to local businesses through engagement in the program.
Community Solutions’ Health and Wellbeing Manager Tendai Dawkins said community ownership of the initiative would be key to its success in responding to local business need.
“Inspiring disadvantaged people and promoting the career opportunities available to them is extremely important,” she said.
