This is a crucial position which will provide Specialist Support Coordination to NDIS participants who have multiple and complex needs. Working collaboratively with disability and mainstream supports, you will play an important role in assisting each participant to access supports and work towards achieving their goals. About you:Our successful candidate will be an experienced Social Worker or Psychologist, and have a keen focus in working with vulnerable people including people with intellectual and/or psychosocial disability. You will also hold as a minimum, an undergraduate degree in Social Work and current AASW membership/AHPRA Registration (full or provisional).You will also come with:Knowledge of and experience within the disability sector, and particularly participants with complex needsKnowledge of and commitment to a non-judgemental, participant-directed approach supporting full choice and controlHigh level of interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and maintain relationships within a team, with participants, across service providers and with various stakeholdersDemonstrated organisation skills to effectively manage workload and meet deadlinesSound problem solving skills to successfully identify problems, develop solutions and implement these using a logical and systematic approachDemonstrated competence in computer applications i.e. Microsoft Word and Spreadsheet functionsNational Police Check, Working with Children Check, Disability Workers Exclusion Scheme Check, and full Driver’s License.
